Again, Pompeii is best done on summer mornings before it gets really hot (don't underestimate how hot it can be) and the site is HUGE: there's no "quick" visit about it, IMHO, or not if you want to do it justice, anyway. The church where the saint preached has made a small museum covered with ex-voti. This time we're exploring Naples! Buy two carrots as a gift for the woman on the fifth floor if she'll lower her bucket to pick them up. Man: Lupini. The city comes back to life in the early evening. Enjoy a few smiles and jokes with the man running the neighborhood tripe shop, or the woman taking her daycare class on a walk through the traffic.
